Walter Fust nominated as CEO of
the Global Humanitarian Forum

GENEVA, Switzerland, 15 January 2008 – The Foundation Board has nominated Ambassador Walter Fust as the Chief Executive Officer of the Global Humanitarian Forum.

Ambassador Fust, 63 years old, will take up this new position in May 2008, following his retirement as Director-General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. He will be in charge of implementing the strategy set by the Foundation Board. The Foundation Board and the Secretariat are pleased to count on the vast experience of Walter Fust in international affairs and his expertise in development and humanitarian issues.
